Extended Warranty Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an extended warranty for my Outdoor TV?

An extended warranty is a smart way to protect your investment and avoid unexpected repair costs. Outdoor electronics are exposed to more wear and tear, and if an issue arises, repairs can be costly and inconvenient. A warranty ensures reliable service and coverage for parts and labor, so you don’t have to worry about who to call or how to handle a large product repair.

How do I file a claim?

All SureBright warranty claims must be submitted directly through SureBright. Customers can file a claim by any of the following steps:

Will my coverage continue after my TV is repaired?

Yes. After a TV repair, coverage continues until the earlier of the plan's expiration or the cost of all paid claims equaling the TV's purchase price.

Will I have to send in my TV for repairs?

TVs 42 inches or larger are serviced in-home when possible; smaller units may be depot/mail-in or carry-in. You will receive instructions after filing the claim. If we require your TV to be shipped, we will cover the shipping costs for both ways.

What happens if my TV can't be repaired?

If the TV is deemed beyond economic repair, SureBright provides a replacement of like kind and quality or a cash/card settlement not exceeding the original price paid.

What is not covered under my TV's extended warranty coverage terms?

Exclusions mirror the general list: impact damage, cosmetic issues, misuse or improper installation, data/content, external events (fire, flood, lightning, except surge), loss or theft, etc.

What does SureBright's TV extended warranty cover?

TV extended coverage includes burn-ins, mechanical/electrical failures, panel, power-supply, main-board or backlight faults, normal wear-and-tear, and power-surge damage.

If I sell my TV, can I transfer the warranty to the new owner?

No. The service agreement is not transferable to a subsequent owner.

I have a manufacturer's warranty on my TV. When does my coverage start?

Drop-in coverage (power surge) is active immediately; the breakdown portion starts when the manufacturer's warranty (or the screen/panel sub-portion of it) ends.
